Invitation to the first iron online event

Iron online 4

Are we doomed to being Neoliberal artists and working for Neoliberal institutions or are there other routes, strategies, and possibilities?

Towards a language of iron, new maps for a new territory 3

Iron online

David Goldenberg

Bird Saunders

Rachel Wilberforce

4th July 4pm London time

Zoom event.

What is a Neoliberal practice, and do other practices and strategies exist today, to either open-up Neoliberalism or to rupture and bring about something else? Do we look to preexisting positions, terms, historical models or is it necessary to look elsewhere?

What insights is it possible to gain from current diverse policies into the role of Art today at this stage of Neoliberalism and the Pandemic? How to establish a clearer idea of what a practice is today?

The key question that needs to be asked and resolved is what gave rise to the sense of paralysis that we experience today, and why insights from culture and elsewhere make no difference or bring about change?

It is this issue of the poverty of artistic language and concepts that is at the core to the program of iron and necessity to seek fissures to open-up another language and locate new diagnostic tools.
