Performance “In Search of Post Autonomy”, November 25th, 2012, Palazzo Isimbardi, Milan, Italy

«Participants were invited to walk through the 1930’s redesigned 15th century court yards and rooms of the Palazzo Isimbardi with its artworks and memories of arts origin and history: in this building they found themselves in search of something they have lost without realising they have lost anything. The performance aimed to encourage participants to come together to produce a large floor drawing that marks a route, construct new maps, where the writing down and talking about their ideas during the day represents a way to step back and to use the collective material for a discussion about memory, language, ideas of loss. Then the performance worked as a way to recognise this loss and disorientation positively, as a signal of transformation.» (from the artist’s introduction to the performance).
